Completed arrangements are being announced for Mayme Marie Pruitt, 91, of Union City, who died Aug. 14, 2012, at Magnolia Place Assisted Living in Union City.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Dr. Cecil Sewell officiating.

Burial will follow in East View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until the hour of services Friday.

Pallbearers will be Bill Flood, Gary Francis, Billy Reese, Eddie Reese, William “Red” Reese and David Johnson.

The family requests that memorials be made to Union City First Baptist Church.

She was born Nov. 3, 1920, in Obion County, daughter of the late James F. and Lydia (Cole) Pruitt. She had been a quality control supervisor at the former Salant & Salant in Union City, where she worked for more than 38 years, and had also been a companion-sitter for several elderly ladies. She was a member of Union City First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Lena Mai Pruitt of Union City; three nieces, Marsha (Osborne) Parsons of Columbiana, Ala., and Jane (Pruitt) Reid and Beverly (Pruitt) Sutton, both of Union City; two nephews, Jim Osborne of Scottsdale, Ariz., and John Osborne of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; 11 great-nieces and great-nephews; and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Virginia Osborne, Mildred Pruitt and Evelyn Pruitt; three brothers, James Pruitt, Lonnie Pruitt and Brooks Pruitt; her brother-in-law, Fred M. Osborne Jr.; and her sister-in-law, Lucille Pruitt.
